如果你是第一次到美国，最好还是选择出租车。因为旧金山的路不是很好走，而且停车很贵。从机场到旧金山艺术大学注册的地方，只需要40美元左右，完全可以承担的起。

签证率巨高的学校。这个学校的平面设计，服装设计，服装管理，超级买手还有动画设计都很好，电影专业跟插画专业也都很出名，学校就是靠这几个专业吃饭的，在美国西部地区很出名。学校跟迪士尼、皮克斯、纽约时尚周、暴雪、谷歌等公司都有很多合作，在这方面就业率还是很可观的。上课的老师都是全美知名的设计师，有很多机会跟导师去大公司实习，不过主要还是看你个人了。学校门槛不高，前几年没有托福成绩都能申请，最重要的是这个学校很容易签证。
环境来讲，旧金山艺术大学所在的旧金山市全美公认气候最好的几个城市之一，周围环境也很好。学校位于市中心，教学楼很多，设备也属于美国私立学校上游水平。学校没有校园，对于喜欢安静的同学来说可能就不是很好的选择了，不过学校位于市中心，购物逛街非常方便。步行走到苹果总部，LV等各大品牌店都不超过8分钟。
学校ESL课程很强大，专门针对英文不好的国际留学生。关于托福成绩，很多中国学生都不是很了解，美国的法律、医学、经济学等专业对于英文的要求都很高，但是相对的，设计类学生对于英文的要求会低很多，因为专业词汇很少。于日常用语，一般情况留学生来美国大约3-8个月就能解决，日常词汇大学200个左右就足够了。

1.要有足够的经济实力，一年下来学费加上生活费20-30万人民币不等，因为不同学校学费不同，所在地方的消费水平也不一样。
2.需要有不错的高中各学期期末成绩也就是GPA，大概都要在80分以上或左右。
3.需要3个老师的推荐信，其中最好有一个是英语的一个是班主任的，一是和你将来要选的专业有关的科目老师，如果你能拿到校长的或者中国某国际知名人物的推荐信就更好了。
4.如果是打算直接过去读本科的话还需要有语言成绩，也就是托福或雅思（雅思在美国有一部分学校不认可），其中托福要达到80分左右或以上，雅思要达到6.5分以上或左右才能申请得到比较要的学校，如果要申请前50的学校托福最好要100分，还要有SAT1的成绩，也就是美国的高考，而且分数要高，如果要申请前20的学校要托福要在100以上的情况下还要考SAT1和SAT2，分数要高，这个国内只有香港有考点。如果楼主没有语言成绩，对美国的大学水平要求不是前50名的，可以申请双录取，也就是去美国读语言，读完通过一些测试后也能上大学，所谓双录取就是两份录取通知书，一份美国大学的通知书，一份语言学校的通知书，在美国的语言学校搞定语言后就能直接到录取你的大学报到，当然这个得多花些钱，但能申请50—100名的大学。
5.如果这些材料都有了，就可以找中介或者自己申请美国的大学，在拿到大学通知书以后就去签证，签证过了之后就可以去开始美国的求学生涯了。

PS；楼主要注意，如果要申请秋季入学，得在前一年的11月份就开始申请。

那我只能告诉楼主我的申请过程了，因为我有找中介，我只是提供她想要的材料，他帮我弄，我是高二的时候开始办出国的。本人的意向是美国，我在高二下学期找好中介，然后中介就开始让我去学校开包括已经过去的高中的几个学期的期末成绩单和在读证明的中英文版本，并且还要在落款处盖学校的公章。（这些都是中介帮我弄好然后把文本发给我我在去学校的教务处让教务处帮忙用学校的抬头纸打印出来。）接着中介让我找3个左右的老师问是否愿意为我写推荐信（我的老师都是好人啊，都乐意，因为我是要学商科所以需要数学老师的推荐信，而我的班主任教物理所以还有一封物理的，最后的推荐老师是英语老师，因为去美国，楼主懂的），得知老师愿意为我写推荐信后和对我的看法后中介就按这三个老师对我的看法写了英语推荐信，当然都是美言，然后也是让学校的教务处用抬头纸打印，打印完后还要这些老师签名。接着就是找学校要学校的信封了（我们学校的专门信封）并在这些封口处盖。这样学校的材料就准备好了。
PS：成绩单和在读证明我是打在同一张抬头纸上面的，而且开了七八份，推荐信也各七八份，因为要申请多所学校！其中成绩单和在读证明的抬头纸独自放在一个信封里，推荐信也是各放一个信封，这样就找学校拿了好多信封哈）

接着就是楼主自己要做的事了，考试，托福或是雅思，这两个考试需要3—4个月的准备才能考出好成绩，而且要踏踏实实的准备，至于准备材料可以去网上下载，小马过河和sharewithU还有太傻论坛都有得下，而且这3个网站都有一些前辈的备考经历和心得，楼主最好是参照一些前人的心得再决定去下载什么准备材料，而且要注意很多备考的人都是大学生，所以我们和他们的英语水平自然不再一个水平，他们可能只要备考2个月甚至1一个月就能考出好成绩，而我们就需要更长的时间了，这个请楼主务必注意！！！
如果楼主想出国后再考的话就去就读双录取学校，也就是没有语言成绩但被录取的学生，这样的学生通常会收到两份录取通知书，一份是国外的语言学校的，一份是国外的大学的，需要在语言学校读过之后并且通过考试，就能去该大学读书了，当然，这样费用会比在国内吧语言考过还烧钱。
不管楼主打算在国外还是国内把语言搞定前面说的那些材料的要准备啊！！

最后就是要办存款证明*（美国是70万），根据你要申请的学校有几个就办几份。

如果这些都搞定了，中介就会把材料都寄到学校去，然后等待录取通知书，被录取后如果想去读就答应下来，那么接下来只剩签证了，签证完后就是开学后出国留学了

旧金山本来就是个寸土寸金的地方，生活水平相对较高，加上旧金山艺术大学是一所私立院校，费用方面都不会很低的。

不算太差，综合排名119。专业也对口。美国没有又便宜又好的学校。
