1. 美国高中 毕业舞会
Planning often starts months before the day of the prom.First,classmate must find a date to go with.Many people use this situation to finally ask that girl out before it's too late.Some go with thier significant others, and others go as good friends.
As couples begin to prepare for prom,the money issue becomes a factor.Prom bids (that's what the tickets are called)at our school run aroud $80 a bid.Usually,the guy will pay for both tickets,meaning they have to shell out aroud $160 just to go.Girls need to buy dresses ,shoes,and make appointments for thier hair,nails,and makeup.Guys must rent or buy tuxedos.Seniors,in particular,can easily spend $1,000 on prom.
This year,I was invited to the senior prom by a friend(not my boyfriend).Usually only seniors attend the senior prom.However when guys are desperate,it is not uncommon for them to invite underclassmen. As a sophomore,I was
particularly delighted.
However, I wasn't able to prepare as well as many seniors.I did manage to buy a new dress and shoes.Because of a heavy workload at school,Iwas left scrambing aroud town trying to get my hair and makeup done on the day of the prom. Eventually, I settled for a no-nonsense,juse-out-of-the-shower hairdo and managed to get my good friend Susanna to apply makeup to me.
Nevertheless,I had a great time at Prom 2008.
